I'm so excited for this pattern to be my first pattern release in almost 3 years! Welcome to the Peyton Scarf. Not only is this pattern (FREE here on my blog) my first in a long time, but I'm so excited for it to be a part of the 2020 Christmas in July Make Along with Underground Crafter. Each day in the month of July a fellow maker will be posting a free knitting, crochet, or sewing project for all of us to get a head start on our holiday making for this year! This week's theme is gifts for women and this scarf is just perfect for your bestie in your life.

I love coffee.  I have a cup as soon as I get up, one when I get to my workplace, and another in the afternoon after lunch.  It's just part of my routine.  Wi
th that being said, I love making coffee sleeves.  They are so many different options you can do with them and the color combos are honestly endless.

A few months back, I was talking with a friend and it was brought up to make her a coffee sleeve.  So here is what I came up with, I present to you the LuLu Coffee Sleeve :)

It's been since November of 2014 since I have published anything, and the reason why is simple...burnout, crochet burnout that is.

The holidays hit me hard with crochet and I said yes way too many times with little time to complete all the projects that I wanted to do for the holidays.  A customer never got left out in the wind, but I, myself, felt a little ruffled.  So, today let's talk about burnout, let's talk about ways to avoid it and ways to get through it.

I'm a sucker for variegated yarns. Always have been--I just love the colors of them. Especially when I ran across Red Heart Boutique's Unforgettable Yarn in Dragonfly. I had to grab it immediately and then I started creating something. This one scarf I have been working on and off for almost two months, and after all that I just love the way it turned out. The colors look beautiful in this pattern and are so eye catching, the colors is what inspired the name of this, Daydreaming at Night.  The colors look so whimsical, but have a deeper tone to them which made me think of night.

I think anyone can attest that as you go through life, there are stages.  My husband and I a few years back attended many, many weddings.  And, now, I feel like it's all about babies within our friends and family members.  So, when my friend and co-worker announce she was pregnant, I went on a limb and started making a baby blanket with gender specific colors for a boy--and when she announce she was having a boy, I was ecstatic.  I was thrilled my little hunch was right, and of course that I didn't have to start over.  And the pattern that I started that blanket with is none other than Moogly's Leaping Stripes and Blocks Blanket.
